I bought Portraits by Ingres because had just finished another book, Lucian Freud, the Studio in which there is an account of the great painter Freud visiting the Ingres exhibit over and over again In looking at the Ingres book as well as the paintings Freud did when he visited the National Gallery I hope to see what he was inspired by/5(2).
